Dusten's Web Page

Thank you for joining the circus. The page was created in October 1996. The web page is my way of staying in touch with people and it also gives me a way to publicly express myself.

Believe it or not, I have been updating my website 22 years now. Since then, I graduated in 1998 from Southern Illinois University and since 1999 I have worked as an Information Systems Analyst in a team providing technical support to about 30,000 computer users. I attended class part-time for 9 years while working and finished a master of science degree in MIS (Management Information Systems) from University of Illinois in May 2008. By my calculations, I went to school for 28 years, taking one or more classes per year.
Besides dancing, my hobbies are home automation, reading health and finance literature, new technologies, inventing, robots and vacation planning. I also enjoy inline skating, swimming and reading for personal development. I had membership in two local investment clubs for over 10 years, two professional organizations and pursue other business/financial interests. It's all hard work, but it's worth it!

I was elected President in 2012 and Vice-President in 2013 of the Capitol Chapter of AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) after being Region 5 conference chair for 2010-2011. In 2015, AITP merged with CompTIA to become CompTIA AITP.

My daughter was born Sunday, March 25 of 2007. Visit Sylvia Central for the latest details. You can also see pictures in our family album.

She served as a corporate research librarian at a Fortune 500 company in Bloomington, IL for 7 years. Now she is a full-time and on-call 24/7 homemaker to a demanding 11 year old.
